Travelling around the Irish countryside, we’ve discovered many wonderful picnic spots. 

They are private, romantic and relaxing – ideal for a special afternoon with a loved one or a special, lunchtime break during one of our landscape courses.

Shuttersheep Gourmet Picnics & Barbecues can be set up on a ground blanket or a laid table – hey, you are our guest… you decide!

You can also choose from several locations from beautiful Irish mountains and rivers surrounded by ancient forests to secret coves overlooking golden beaches and majestic, Atlantic seascapes.

And, even if the weather is a wee bit inclement, don’t worry… we call that a ‘soft day’ in Ireland so we’ll cocoon you in a warm gazebo… keeping you warm and snug in all weathers.

All of our picnic baskets are made up of local, nutritious, scrummy, organic produce.

As well as a chilled, complimentary semi-sparkling wine and waters, our typical Standard Luxury Hamper consists of:

• Your choice of organic beef, ham, chicken or smoked Atlantic salmon
• A mixture of fresh organic vegetables and fruit
• Seaweeds – (Irish seafood is incredible – don’t knock it until you’ve tried it!)
• A selection of local cheeses
• Fresh baked, crusty breads
• Pickles, preserves and hedgerow jams
• A refreshing drink such as Armagh apple juice plus tea and coffee
• … oh! almost forgot… plenty of chocolate!
